Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers to help you understand features, workflow, and secure task handling with confidence
What does Makeiteasi do?
Makeiteasi is a financial AI advisory and implementation firm. We help organizations assess finance workflows, identify high-impact opportunities for AI and automation, and integrate the right solutions into the tools and processes their teams already use.
We do more than recommend technology. We turn finance challenges into practical improvements across reporting, forecasting, reconciliation, financial data organization, workflow automation, and decision support.
Is Makeiteasi a software company or a consulting firm?
Makeiteasi is service-first. We do not begin with a pre-packaged product and ask your team to change its processes around it. We begin by understanding your finance operation, then advise on and implement the right AI-enabled solution for your specific needs.
This may include configuring your existing tools, improving data flows, introducing automation, integrating selected AI capabilities, or creating tailored reporting and workflow processes.
Will AI replace our finance or accounting team?
No. Our goal is to make finance and accounting teams more effective, not remove the people responsible for financial judgment, oversight, and accountability.
AI is most useful when it reduces repetitive, time-consuming work such as collecting data, organizing documents, preparing first drafts, identifying exceptions, reconciling information, and surfacing patterns. Your team remains responsible for review, decisions, approvals, and business judgment.
Can you work with QuickBooks, Excel, NetSuite, and our current finance tools?
Yes. Our approach is designed around the tools already embedded in your finance operation. We assess how your team uses QuickBooks, Excel, NetSuite, ERP platforms, reporting tools, CRM systems, and other data sources before recommending a path forward.
Often, meaningful improvement comes from making current tools work together better rather than replacing them. We will be direct about what can be improved within your current stack and when an additional integration or capability would be valuable.
Do we need to replace our ERP or accounting system?
Usually, no. Replacing a core finance system can be costly and disruptive, and it is rarely the first step we recommend.
Our focus is on improving the workflows around your current systems. This may include reducing manual data movement, improving reporting inputs, streamlining approvals, creating more useful planning models, or adding AI-assisted workflows around the systems your team already trusts.
Is our financial data secure when AI is involved?
Finance data requires a high standard of care. Before recommending or implementing a solution, we review the data involved, the systems it will connect to, user access needs, approval points, and the level of control required.
We design engagements around appropriate permissions, controlled access, clear data-handling expectations, and human review where it matters. AI should strengthen governance and visibility—not weaken them.
How do you ensure AI outputs are accurate?
We do not treat AI as an unchecked source of truth. We design workflows with validation steps, defined business rules, source-data visibility, exception handling, and human approvals where appropriate.
The level of review is tailored to the task. A low-risk internal report draft requires different controls than a close-related reconciliation, financial forecast, or external financial document. Accuracy improves when AI is applied to a well-defined workflow with reliable inputs and clear oversight.
What return on investment can we expect from financial AI advisory?
ROI depends on the workflow being improved, its volume, the amount of manual effort involved, and the business value of faster insight. We define success before implementation so results can be measured in practical terms.
Typical measures include hours saved, reporting-cycle time, error reduction, exception-resolution time, reduced rework, improved forecast responsiveness, and the capacity created for higher-value finance work. We prioritize use cases where the value is clear and achievable.
How quickly can we see results?
Timing depends on workflow complexity, data quality, accessibility of source systems, and the approvals required. Some improvements can be identified and implemented quickly, while broader finance transformation work benefits from a phased approach.
We typically recommend beginning with one high-friction workflow that has a visible business case. This creates an early win, builds team confidence, and gives the organization a foundation for wider improvement.
What happens after implementation?
Implementation is not the end of the engagement. Finance workflows evolve, data changes, teams adopt new habits, and new opportunities often become visible after the first improvement is in place.
We provide ongoing financial AI advisory to review performance, strengthen adoption, refine workflows, resolve issues, and prioritize the next best opportunities. The goal is a more capable finance function that continues to improve over time.
